Frequently asked questions

Why does a resort show stale or missing conditions?

Snow reports and forecasts are pulled from resort and weather sources on a refresh cycle (snow reports every 4 hours, weather forecasts every 6 hours), not continuously. If a source is temporarily unavailable, the app falls back to the last cached data and marks it as stale rather than showing nothing. Pull to refresh to request an update.

Do I need an account?

No. Summit Season works fully without signing up. Favorites and settings are saved on your device.

Does the app work offline?

Yes - previously loaded resorts, snow reports, and forecasts are cached on your device so you can check them without a connection. Data syncs automatically the next time you're back online.

Why is the app asking for my location?

Location is only used to show your position on the resort map and to attach a location to community reports you choose to submit. It's optional - you can deny or revoke it any time in your device Settings, and the rest of the app keeps working. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I report incorrect snow conditions?

Use the community report feature on a resort's detail screen to submit updated conditions - other users will see it alongside official sources.

How do I delete my data?

Clearing the app's local storage or uninstalling the app removes everything stored on your device. If you'd like a community report or server-side data removed, email support@sudoku-friends.com with enough detail (resort, approximate date/time) for us to locate it. See the Privacy Policy for more.

I found a bug or the app crashed

Sorry about that. Email support@sudoku-friends.com with your device model, iOS/Android version, and what you were doing when it happened - the more detail, the faster we can fix it.
